A Little Bit About Me…

The last time I wrote an about me post was the 18th of November 2020 and a lot has changed within the two years, one month, and four days.

During that time, we were in the chaotic life of Covid and the third lockdown was nearly going to scar, not only England but many other places around the world. It meant most people could not spend Christmas or New Year's Eve with their family. For me, I had finished university a few months prior and the graduation I was meant to have was pushed back six months, and then finally a year. 

I must admit, I do kind of miss this era of Corona as I was able to simply wake up every day and write. Even though I do slightly miss it, I am happy that I am now able to travel, which I am currently doing around southeast Asia and Australia. 

But let me re-introduce myself.

My name is Sarah Glatzhofer, and I am currently 23 but in five months I will be 24 years of age, nearing my mid-twenties; I know, scary. 

I have written five novels, although none of them are published. I enjoy writing in the genre of romance, fantasy (this is new), YA (young adult), and NA (new adult).  

One of my favourite jobs I've had was being a copywriter for Splento as I was able to use the skills I learnt from university and write blogs. Also, the people who I worked with were extremely kind.

My ultimate dream job is to become a published author, having books in the romance and fantasy genres. And if that does happen, fingers cross, I think it would be cool to start my own magazine company with magazines for sport, science, travel, fashion, and literature. It would be like the Bratz series where the four of them had their own magazine company.

But right now, as mentioned, I am travelling southeast Asia and Australia. I am currently in Bangkok, with Laos and Vietnam finished. On my third country out of ten, and I must say, it is going quickly.

I also have an Etsy account, and if you are a fan of horoscopes and love the idea of having yours as your iPhone wallpaper, then I have some on this account for you to have. My shop is called SJGlatzhofer's Shop.

As you can tell, I am very fond of this name and pretty much use it everywhere. 

My blog is something that I do for fun, and I have a mixture of topics that I write about. This include, travel, book reviews, writing tips, and as of right now I am doing a series called Dear Luna for you to all read as I travel around for the next four months. This blog topic is simply about how I am doing/feeling whilst being away from family and friends for four months. 

This is who I am, as of right now. 

And I wonder who I will be in a year.

  Dear Luna, Guess who’s back?!? Me! I want to surrender myself to sleep but I am currently on my delayed plane, waiting for lift off which should have happened over two hours ago. Sure, some people would be reading this and think, just go to sleep. And I would love to, but I am also on duty to update my family for them to know what time to leave to pick me up from the airport in Naples. Summer has arrived which means holidays in the warmth, instead of miserable England which has been raining for the past week or two. Vientine, Laos - Dear Luna

Dear Luna, When I was younger, I saw his carton picture in a history book at school, showing the fear that people had when it came to electricity. The sky was filled with thousands of spider-webbed wires going from the electricity pole to all of the buildings around them. Here, I am in the capital of Laos and this cartoon has come to life. When arriving here, all I could do is peer out of the car window, staring with amazement at all of this. I understand why many people were trembling with living in a world that looked like it was being taken over, because seeing this in real life, gives an allure of dystopian.  Even though this city gives this sort of vibe, the warmth here compared to Hanoi, Vietnam is one that I am enjoying so much. Our days are spent in shorts and t-shirts, whilst back at home, our family is all stuck wearing wooly jumpers. The End - Dear Luna

Dear Luna, As I sit here, waiting to board my second plane, I can’t help but think about the wonderful adventure I have taken part in over the past four months. If fourteen-year-old me knew that at twenty-three I was going to be away from my family for four months, exploring and visualising the beauty of some of these countries in Asia, I would have been gobsmacked. But here I am, at the end of it all. And it’s rather sad that it has come to an end, four months have flown by (a cliche, but very true). All of the excitement which I was looking forward to when I first travelled here are now all memories. One part of travelling is looking forward to going on tours and doing activities you never thought you would do, and now, I don’t even have that. However, I do have other things to look forward to . Such as publishing my books, which will happen, I am going to be a published author and no one will stop me. I’m also going to run half a marathon. I will be travelling to other places. And I
