Spontaneous Trip - Dear Luna

Dear Luna,

My cousin and I did something rather spontaneous, living in the moment. Of course, what resulted in us doing this isn’t rather nice but still, we can say we did something we didn’t plan to do when we were booking our tickets for our four months of travel.

Originally, we were just going to just stay in Manila during our stay in The Philippines. I know, I know, some of my readers might question but why? The Philippines have many beautiful islands, so why not visit one of them? To be honest, I wish we did add that to our trip but truth be told, I don’t really know what happened.

We arrived in Manila in the evening, but it wasn’t until the next day that we truly felt uncomfortable to be walking around outside. The eyes of random men glancing at us wherever we walked made us want to leave as fast as possible and stay in our hotel room for the rest of our stay.
This is why we decided to go off to one of the islands of The Philippines, to spend some time somewhere else where we wouldn’t feel uncomfortable.

Yes, this decision did mean more money to spend, but luckily for me I have not only stuck with my budget, but I have been under it more than I thought, and even with this, I have extra money. And, I am happy with our choice.

My cousin and I now get the chance to say we stayed in Palawan. Even with the weather being 30 degrees, with the palm trees and water around us, this is truly paradise.
Our two-day getaway was mainly spent by the pool, but we no longer felt we had to stay in our hotel room as being there, did no not feel uncomfortable one bit. We enjoyed trying different Filippino dishes such as Halo Halo.

As much as this might make others believe I would not want to come back here, I definitely would visit The Philippines again. However, I think I would make a better plan where I have a chance to see many of the islands that create this beautiful country. I think I would start in Manila, stay there for two full days, visit as many islands as I want, go back to Manila, and stay for one, maybe two more full days before travelling back home. I think it would be ideal to stay here for a month, as it will give anyone a chance to see the natural side of this country.

Even though The Philippines is not high on my list, due to not great planning, it was fun to be able to do something spontaneous, as that was something my cousin and I mentioned we would like to do something unplanned, and luckily we did.

Until next time, Luna ❤️❤️❤️
